International patients seeking care in Beijing have more ways to find language support and book appointments, according to a November 10, 2025 report on the city government’s international portal. The report, sourced to the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, describes multilingual medical guides and a larger English booking network introduced under the city’s regulations on the language environment for international exchanges.
A four-language guide to medical care
The Medical Guide for Foreigners in Beijing is available in English, French, Spanish and Japanese. It covers 17 international medical service providers, including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, with basic institutional information and material on emergency services, appointment booking, the medical care process and insurance payments.
Check each hospital’s available languages
The guide also contains a directory of 125 hospitals offering services in foreign languages throughout the care process. The directory specifies the languages available at individual hospitals, so inclusion should not be read as every institution providing the same languages.
The guide can be read on the Beijing international portal and has been distributed at relevant medical institutions. The four languages of the guide and the languages offered by each listed hospital are separate pieces of information.
English booking through Jingtong
The number of medical institutions offering a complete English appointment-booking process through the Jingtong mini-program had increased to 28, the report says. Foreign patients can make appointments after logging in and completing identity authentication.
The 28 booking institutions, 17 international service providers and 125 hospitals in the language directory describe different parts of the initiative. The announcement does not say the lists are identical. For appointment planning, the specific booking institution and its language information therefore matter alongside the general directory.
