Clinical Nutrition
Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology’s Department of Clinical Nutrition was established in 1993. Its predecessor was a nutrition canteen that provided meals exclusively for inpatients. After 30 years of development, it has now grown into a clinical nutrition treatment center integrating clinical care, research, enteral nutrition support, special therapeutic diet preparation, and other services. The department is affiliated with the clinical medical-technical departments and comprises three divisions: the Diagnosis and Treatment Division, the Enteral Nutrition Preparation Center, and the Special Therapeutic Diet Processing Center. The department has 15 nutrition physicians, nurses, and technicians, including nutrition physicians, nurses, nutrition technologists, dietitians, nutrition instructors, nutrition culinary technicians, and other professional and technical personnel, with a well-developed talent structure. The department is equipped with a Class 100,000 clean-level enteral nutrition preparation room, a nutrition metabolism examination room, a medical meal preparation area, a nutrition outpatient consultation room, and a multifunctional nutrition assessment room. In 2023, the department was approved as a “Standardized Training Base for Clinical Nutritionists.”
