The Jinshan campus of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University has published WeChat appointment instructions for foreign patients. Its March 20, 2025 notice sets out passport registration, first-visit payment and ticket collection, and the consequences of missed appointments.
Add a patient record before choosing a clinic
Patients open the hospital’s WeChat public account or mini-program, named “重医一院”. The route is “智慧服务” (smart services), “金山院区” (Jinshan campus), “个人中心” (personal centre), then “我的就诊人管理” (patient management).
Under “添加身份证或其他证件” (add an identity card or another document), they enter personal information and select passport or another valid document from the document-type menu, then save the record.
They return to “就诊服务” (patient services) and choose “门诊挂号” (outpatient registration). After selecting the campus and reading and accepting the booking notice, they select a department, date, doctor, time and patient, enter the verification code and confirm the appointment.
First-time patients must use a staffed counter
On the appointment day, payment and ticket collection can be completed 30 minutes before the visit using the patient registration number or the valid document used for booking. Returning patients can use a staffed payment counter or a self-service machine.
For a first visit, the notice specifically requires the patient to present the valid booking document at a staffed payment counter to pay and collect the ticket.
Cancellation deadlines and posted opening hours
Patients unable to attend must cancel before midnight on the day preceding the visit. Missing that deadline counts as one no-show. Two no-shows within 90 days prevent advance appointment booking for the following 90 days; same-day registration remains available.
To cancel, patients follow the same account route to the Jinshan personal centre, open “我的门诊挂号记录” (outpatient registration records), select the relevant appointment and choose “取消预约” (cancel appointment).
The posted outpatient hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am–noon and 2–5 pm. Emergency services are open 24 hours a day throughout the year.
