Nutrition
The Nutrition Department currently has 8 nutrition professionals, including 4 with master's degrees; its echelon of senior, intermediate, and junior professional titles is complete. It is equipped with professional nutrition software systems and instruments and equipment such as the Inbody720 body composition analyzer.
It mainly engages in medical care, teaching, and scientific research in clinical nutrition, and is specifically responsible for nutritional assessment, nutritional therapy, nutrition consultations, and nutrition education for all inpatients in the hospital. It currently provides therapeutic diets, experimental diets, metabolic diets, and tube-feeding diets, among others, meeting the nutritional treatment needs of inpatients.
The Medicinal Diet and Wellness Center operates under it, being the first specialized and personalized medicinal-diet wellness service institution in the province established specifically for inpatients. When medicinal diets are applied, patients’ constitution, health status, nature of illness, seasonal timing, and other factors are comprehensively analyzed; suitable types of medicinal diets are then customized to meet the needs of inpatients with different constitutions for traditional Chinese medicinal diets.
A nutrition consultation outpatient clinic is held every Saturday morning. Outpatient nutrition consultation services are provided for diabetes, hyperthyroidism, gout, obesity, acute and chronic nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, renal insufficiency, fatty liver, cirrhosis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, and other diseases, as well as for pregnant women and children.
