Clinical diagnosis and treatment of malignant liver and pancreatic tumors, gallbladder/bile-duct stones, liver cysts, hepatic hemangiomas, splenic tumors, retroperitoneal tumors, inguinal hernias, abdominal-wall hernias, and related diseases. Skilled in: 1. laparoscopic minimally invasive resection of liver cancer, hepatic hemangiomas, liver cysts, pancreatic tumors, and benign or malignant retroperitoneal tumors; 2. laparoscopic minimally invasive treatment of gallstones with acute or chronic cholecystitis, with rapid recovery, small scars, and short hospitalization, including gallbladder-function assessment; 3. endoscopic stone extraction for common bile-duct stones by duodenoscopy (ERCP), a department-specific approach that avoids the inconvenience of long-term T-tube placement; ERCP-based minimally invasive treatment of biliary acute pancreatitis, endoscopic treatment of pancreatic-duct stones in chronic pancreatitis, endoscopic stent placement and dilation for biliary or pancreatic-duct strictures, and internal endoscopic stent drainage for jaundice caused by biliary obstruction; 4. laparoscopic minimally invasive treatment of indirect and direct inguinal hernias, abdominal-wall hernias, and incisional hernias, including laparoscopic tension-free hernia repair (TEP/TAPP/IPOM); 5. minimally invasive splenectomy for splenic tumors, portal-hypertension hypersplenism, and hematologic-disease-related splenic disease.
