The Health Management Center of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital was established in 1999 and is the chairing institution of the Health Management and Promotion Branch of the Shenzhen Hospital Association, the deputy-chairing institution of the Specialized Committee on Health Management of the Shenzhen Medical Association, the deputy-chairing institution of the Expert Committee of the Shenzhen Health Examination Management Quality Control Center, the deputy-chairing institution of the Health Management Nursing Professional Committee of the Ninth Council of the Guangdong Nursing Association, the deputy-chairing institution of the Geriatric Nursing Professional Committee of the Ninth Council of the Guangdong Nursing Association, a co-creation and co-construction institution for health management medicine departments in tertiary hospitals, a National Health Management Demonstration Base, the Screening and Management Center of the Lung Cancer Prevention and Control Health Alliance, the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases, the Shenzhen Base Hospital of the National Internet of Things for Cerebrovascular Health Management, and a member institution of the China Parkinson’s Alliance. The department occupies nearly 4000 square meters, provides one-stop health examination services in the region, and offers driver’s-license, pre-employment, household-registration, routine, and high-end health examinations, as well as a health management outpatient clinic. It currently has more than 100 professional and technical staff and more than 40 senior experts, provides nearly 150000 person-visits of health examination and health management services each year, and has accumulated extensive management experience. The center is deeply committed to disciplinary development and is exploring an innovative health management model of 5G + the three-early approach (early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment), “online + offline,” and “general practice + specialties,” breaking down the barriers between traditional health examinations and medical care and realizing closed-loop services covering the entire process of health examination, health management, outpatient care, and hospitalization. Before examinations, it designs personalized health examination packages; after examinations, it provides health management, interpretation of health examination reports, MDT, and other services; for abnormal indicators in annual health examination reports, it carries out continuous, dynamic, and personalized health interventions to achieve the goals of managing chronic diseases, preventing major diseases, and promoting health.
