It has 10 hospital beds and a laboratory covering 200 square meters. It is equipped with more than 30 advanced domestic and international diagnostic and treatment devices, including pigment lasers, vascular lasers, intense pulsed light, monopolar radiofrequency, fractional radiofrequency, semiconductor lasers, a fungal fluorescence detection system, a dermatoscope, a skin photoreaction simulator, a multi-person viewing system, and a fluorescence microscope. The Institute of Dermatology is equipped with dozens of high-end scientific research instruments, including a low-temperature freezer, a real-time quantitative PCR instrument, a cryostat, an ultracentrifuge, a multicolor flow cytometer, a laser microdissection system, and an automated slide-scanning system. The Department has six subspecialties: immune-mediated skin diseases, dermatopathology and difficult-to-diagnose and severe skin diseases, infectious skin diseases, dermatologic surgery and skin tumors, dermatological cosmetology, and genodermatoses. It operates eight specialty clinics for dermatologic surgery; atopic dermatitis and eczema; urticaria; chronic prurigo; cutaneous hemangiomas and vascular malformations (port-wine stains); acne and rosacea; psoriasis; and hereditary skin diseases. Immune-mediated skin diseases: For patients with severe atopic dermatitis/eczema, urticaria, bullous diseases, psoriasis, vitiligo, and other conditions, the department provides specialized diagnostic and treatment services including allergen screening, patch testing, biologic therapy, narrowband ultraviolet phototherapy, and excimer light therapy. Skin lasers, radiofrequency, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, skin nutrients, and other treatments are used to treat pigmentation, acne and rosacea, as well as for skin rejuvenation and contouring. Photodynamic therapy: The annual number of treatments exceeds 1,000. It is used to treat benign and malignant skin tumors, condyloma acuminatum, and port-wine stains, offering advantages including a low recurrence rate and good cosmetic results.
