A direct shuttle between Futian Port and the University of Hong Kong–Shenzhen Hospital began operating on January 5, 2026. The hospital and Shenzhen Bus Group launched route 6027, also identified as R27, with a nonstop journey of approximately 30 minutes.

Boarding points and the opening timetable

From Futian Port, buses depart from the port’s bus terminus between 08:00 and 17:30. For the return journey, departures from the hospital run from 08:30 to 18:00.

The hospital stop is at its bus terminus, on basement level one of the Outpatient and Medical Technology Building, opposite the emergency department. Departures are approximately every 30 minutes.

The vehicles have accessibility facilities, and the route includes bilingual service arrangements. A Hong Kong passenger on the launch service reported being able to pay with cash or a Shenzhen–Hong Kong interoperable transport card.

Cantonese guidance at the hospital

The hospital has a Cantonese service team supporting the pathway from booking and consultation to collecting medicines. A cross-border medical consultation desk provides guidance from staff familiar with the two healthcare systems.

The International Medical Center’s Cantonese enquiry numbers are +852-67053932 and 0755-86913333. The hospital offers both general outpatient services and the International Medical Center, whose coordinated services cover appointments, care and rehabilitation.

Payment and access to previous records

At publication, the hospital reported partnerships with more than 30 commercial insurance organisations, allowing direct settlement using international commercial medical insurance.

Through its connection with Hong Kong’s eHealth system, doctors can view a patient’s Hong Kong consultation records when the patient authorises access.

The hospital is also a Hong Kong Elderly Health Care Voucher service point. By December 31, 2025, it had recorded more than 140,000 visits using the vouchers.
