Huashan Hospital's preparation room was among the first units in Shanghai to obtain certification under the "Quality Specification for Medical Institution Preparation Rooms", and obtained a "Medical Institution Preparation Production License". The hospital's preparations have fully explored and carried forward the distinctive features and advantages of clinical medication at our hospital, effectively meeting the clinical medication needs of some patients, and are an important component of the hospital's medicines. The self-manufactured preparations with brand impact were developed through the joint efforts of pharmacy pioneers and medical experts; they are distinctive products adapted to clinical needs, safe and effective, and available in numerous varieties, and have long been trusted by clinicians and patients. Among them, Urea Cream, Suomixin Urea Cream, Compound Clindamycin Gel (Kangzhi Jier), Cream Base No. 1 (6101 Cream), Allantoin Vitamin E Cream (Fugui Cream), Lübo Disong Liniment (Fudi Liniment), Dexamethasone Acetate Liniment (Dibing Liniment), as well as Ammonium Chloride and Liquorice Oral Solution, Qibai Granules, Shenqi Shengji Granules, Lidan Granules, Shenwu Oral Solution, and Lishi Oral Solution, are widely acclaimed in clinical use in dermatology, neurology, traditional Chinese medicine, general surgery, and other departments. Over the past 6 years, following annual sampling inspections by the Shanghai Municipal Drug Administration and unannounced inspections by the Inspection Bureau, the quality results have all been quite satisfactory. Through the continued efforts of the new-generation preparation production and drug inspection teams, the annual output value of Huashan preparations has risen in parallel with the growth in the hospital's medical scale. While ensuring clinical supply, the team strives to refine and improve the preparation brand, while also focusing on the development and translation of new preparations, so that preparation production can enter the fast lane and preparation development can embark on a new journey. Because of its outstanding achievements in attaining both quality and output gains while ensuring safe production, the team received an official commendation from the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League for its Youth Work Safety Post at the beginning of 2024.
