Neonatal Intensive Care Department
1. Comprehensive Care System for Premature Infants
- Establish standardized emergency rescue procedures and equip the department with internationally advanced transport incubators to achieve seamless coordination among the delivery room, operating room, and intensive care unit.
- Carry out core technologies including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, umbilical arterial and venous catheterization, and PICC; plan to conduct critical-care rescue technologies such as mild hypothermia and neonatal exchange transfusion.
- Integrate nutritional support, neurodevelopmental intervention, and a system for the prevention and treatment of retinopathy.
2. Neurodevelopmental Supportive Care for High-Risk Infants (NIDCAP)
- Individualized developmental assessment and nursing procedures for newborns.
- Nursing technologies that promote neurodevelopment, including environmental noise monitoring, positioning-support nests, non-nutritive sucking, oral training, and neonatal massage.
3. Plan to establish a “Premature Infant Growth Record” and provide regular developmental assessments and early intervention services from 0 to 3 years of age.
4. Coordinate the mother’s 42-day postpartum follow-up and plan to conduct a comprehensive 42-day neonatal physical examination.
5. Planned Family-Integrated Critical Care (FICare)
- Implement “kangaroo care” for infants in need and allow parents to participate in care.
- Establish a “family transition ward” to provide guidance on feeding and parental psychology, helping families achieve a smooth transition from the NICU to home.
