Department Introduction to the Health Management Center of Peking University Third Hospital（PUTH）

Established in December 2010, the Health Management Center of Peking University Third Hospital (PUTH) is committed to preserving and enhancing public health. Leveraging the comprehensive strength of Peking University Third Hospital, providing high-quality, personalized health examination and health management services to the public. The Center currently operates multiple branches at the Main Hospital Campus, Capital Airport Campus, Northern Campus, and Daxing Airport Campus.

Through multidisciplinary collaboration with the Hospital's leading clinical departments, the Center conducts organ-system-based functional assessments and evaluations, including exercise capacity assessment, women’s health status evaluation, pre-pregnancy health assessment, tumor risk assessment, comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluation, and osteoporosis risk screening. Since 2015, the Center has established both an Advisory Committee and an Expert Committee, comprising 45 advisors and 39 specialists, to oversee educational activities and ensure the quality of medical examinations. Regular committee meetings are held to review and validate the scientific basis of examination items.

To further enhance service quality, our professional physicians guide clients through a pre-examination assessment questionnaire. Through systematic evaluation and personalized consultation, we help identify individual health needs and develop tailored examination plans. After the examination, we provide one-on-one, face-to-face report interpretation and health guidance, actively intervene in health risks, and design personalized health improvement plans. For clients with clinically significant findings, timely telephone follow-up is arranged to facilitate further diagnosis and treatment, including assistance with specialist referrals. By integrating health records, health examinations, health risk assessments, personalized health consultations, continuous follow-up services, and specialized health and disease management programs, we implement comprehensive health management for diverse populations. The main Health Management Center, located in the Health Medical Center Building, offers health management services in a comfortable environment supported by advanced facilities and a professional medical team.

Since 2016, building upon PUTH’s expertise in sports medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, and rehabilitation medicine, our Center has systematically developed the "Physical Activity Capacity Assessment and Intervention Program" and integrated it into the routine health examination process. This program employs scientifically quantified methods to evaluate physical activity capacity. Based on comprehensive, evidence-based health analysis, it precisely determines individual safe and effective exercise physiological thresholds, identifies deficiencies and imbalances in physical function, and screens for potential acute or chronic injury risks during daily activities and exercise.

Based on the results, we provide medical costomers with personalized and precise exercise prescriptions. Through scientifically-guided exercise interventions, we effectively enhance physical function, address functional limitations, and reduce exercise-related risks. This program not only helps individuals understand their safe exercise boundaries but also prevents sports-related injuries at the root, thereby strengthening overall health management. Furthermore, we offer continuous follow-up and health management services to ensure the effective implementation of interventions and sustained health improvements.

Guided by the hospital motto of "Unity, Dedication, Integrity, and Innovation," the Health Management Center of PUTH remains committed to the core principles of health assessment, health screening, and health promotion. By advancing synergistically in clinical services, education, and research, we strive to provide high-quality health assurance for all examinees.
