CareAtlas is an independent, multilingual guide to medical care and medical travel in mainland China. We collect and verify practical information — which hospitals run international departments, how to contact them, what accreditations they hold, and what a treatment trip actually involves — and publish it in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, and Russian.

Who it is for
CareAtlas is written for people outside mainland China who are considering treatment there, and for the family members, interpreters, and companions who help them. Whether you are comparing options for a planned procedure, researching a specific hospital, or preparing the logistics of a trip, our goal is the same: give you sourced facts instead of marketing.
What we do
- A sourced hospital directory. We list hospitals with international or foreigner-facing departments. Every phone number, email address, street address, and accreditation claim is tied to a source page we actually read, and we re-check those sources over time.
- Practical guides. Plain-language articles on visas, payments, insurance, interpreters, recovery, and what to do when plans change.
- Direct hospital contacts. Each hospital page lists the hospital's own official channels, and our bilingual letter tool helps you write to its international department in both your language and Chinese.
- Optional paid planning support. An AI tool drafts illustrative itineraries, with one-to-one support for planning questions. See the service description for what is included. It is a planning aid, not medical advice.
Content and planning roles
Our editorial role is to organise source material, record supporting quotations and dates, update practical information and review corrections. This is information editing, not a clinical assessment of a hospital or treatment.
Our human planning advisers help discuss trip arrangements and questions to put to hospitals. They do not diagnose conditions or decide which treatment is suitable. The scope of paid support is described on the planning service page.

Independence
