Research on the etiology and treatment of craniofacial deformities; 3. Research on maxillofacial injuries; 4. Comprehensive sequential treatment of cleft lip and palate, among other services. It is a discipline with broad influence and recognition both within and outside the Autonomous Region. 2. Department of Orthodontics. Established in 1991, it was the earliest professional orthodontic discipline established in the Autonomous Region. Its main distinctive features are: 1. Performing straight-wire orthodontic techniques (including MBT, Tip-edge, O-PAK, DEMON and Smartclip self-ligating orthodontic techniques, etc.) and standard edgewise orthodontic techniques. 2. Using new orthodontic concepts such as functional removable appliances and the 2×4 technique to provide early treatment for patients with skeletal facial deformities and oral bad habits; promoting early preventive and interceptive orthodontic treatment through regular examinations beginning in the primary dentition period; scientifically guiding the growth and development of the teeth, occlusion, and craniofacial structures in children and adolescents; and treating dentofacial deformities caused by adverse factors in a timely manner. 3. Actively carrying out comprehensive sequential treatment for children with cleft lip and palate in cooperation with oral surgery. 4. Using orthodontic mini-implants to treat difficult skeletal malocclusions in adults. 5. Providing treatment for diseases such as sleep apnea syndrome. Over the past five years, the Department of Orthodontics has completed treatment for more than 7,000 patient-visits involving various malocclusions, taken the lead in applying mini-screw implant anchorage clinically in the Autonomous Region, treated difficult cases such as skeletal Class III malocclusion and skeletal open bite, and achieved good results. 3. Department of Prosthodontics. Dating from 1958, its main distinctive feature is the use of artificial materials to make various prostheses that meet physiological requirements, thereby restoring tooth defects, missing dentition, maxillofacial defects, and other conditions. It also provides prosthetic treatment for periodontal disease and correction of temporomandibular joint disorders, with the goals of rebuilding patients' physiological functions, promoting their health, and improving their quality of life. Precious-metal porcelain restorations, gold-deposition porcelain restorations, all-ceramic crown restorations, precision-attachment dentures, telescopic-crown dentures, occlusal reconstruction, and other restorative technologies have reached an advanced domestic level. 4. Dental Implant Center. Established in 2010, the department is equipped with the Swiss ITI implant system and the Bian implant machine, and has first-class dedicated surgical equipment, dedicated sterilization equipment, and a professional prosthetic laboratory. While carrying out routine implant procedures, the department was the first in Inner Mongolia to carry out advanced techniques including multiple bone-grafting and implant procedures for insufficient bone volume, maxillary sinus floor elevation with implantation, implant aesthetic restoration, immediate implantation and immediate restoration, and functional reconstruction and restoration after jawbone defects. Since its establishment, the department has achieved a 100% implant survival rate, reaching the international standard for dental implant survival. 5. Department of Dental Hard Tissue and Endodontics. Established in 1958, it is a core department of our hospital. It provides diagnosis and systematic treatment for caries, pulp disease, and periapical disease; diagnosis and treatment of defects of the hard tissues of the teeth; diagnosis and treatment of discolored teeth, aesthetic dental restoration, and tooth whitening; and diagnosis and sequential treatment of difficult dental hard-tissue and endodontic conditions, such as rampant caries, radiation caries, acid erosion, and occlusal disease. In recent years, it has developed distinctive professional medical services including warm gutta-percha filling, microscopic root canal treatment, microscopic apical surgery, aesthetic dental restoration, and direct adhesive restoration of dental hard tissues. All medical and nursing personnel in the Department of Dental Hard Tissue and Endodontics serve the vast number of patients with an attitude of striving for perfection, advanced professional diagnostic and treatment techniques, and first-class medical quality.
