Gynaecology
Gynecology is a master's degree-granting site and a national standardized residency training base. The department has 90 beds and currently has 23 medical and nursing staff members, including 25 physicians, 7 holders of doctoral degrees, 19 holders of master's degrees, 5 doctoral students currently enrolled, 7 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, and 7 master's supervisors.
Gynecology has a strong clinical foundation and can diagnose and treat various difficult and complex gynecological diseases. It effectively implements and carries out the concept of minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment, with endoscopic surgery accounting for 71%. Over the past three years, robotic surgery, transvaginal laparoscopy (vNOTES) surgery, single-port laparoscopic surgery, and other procedures have been performed. More than 200 minimally invasive surgical treatments using the Da Vinci robot have been performed, with successful completion of ovarian cancer cytoreductive surgery, radical hysterectomy + lymph node dissection for cervical cancer, pelvic reconstruction, complex endometriosis surgery, and other procedures. The diagnosis and treatment of immunological miscarriage have reached an advanced level within the province. Each physician has a distinct subspecialty strength, and the department emphasizes subspecialty development. The annual outpatient volume is approximately 70,000 visits, the annual number of inpatients treated is approximately 4,000-plus patient visits, and nearly 5,000-plus surgeries are performed annually.
The department is equipped with laparoscopes, hysteroscopes, electronic colposcopes, self-coagulation knife treatment devices, LEEP knives, vulvar lesion treatment devices, electron microscopes, B-mode ultrasound equipment, microwave devices, and more.
Nearly 100 master's students have been trained and graduated, and 38 graduate students are currently enrolled. In recent years, the teaching and research office has published nearly 10 works as editor-in-chief, co-editor, or translator, including 2 works for which it served as editor-in-chief and 3 as deputy editor-in-chief, and has published more than 300 research papers.
