Rheumatology and Immunology

The Department of Rheumatology and Immunology of the Affiliated Hangzhou First People’s Hospital, School of Medicine, Westlake University, was formerly the Department of Endocrinology, Rheumatology and Immunology and was independently established in 2019. It is currently the lead department of a Zhejiang Province Small but Strong Clinical Cultivation Innovation Team (Inflammatory Muscle Diseases), a backbone department of Hangzhou’s Peak Discipline Immunological Diseases and Precision Therapy, and the chair unit of the Rheumatology Branch of the Hangzhou Medical Association. The department currently has 10 specialist physicians, 7 of whom hold doctoral degrees. The team members have diverse professional backgrounds involving multiple fields, including rheumatology, infectious diseases, epidemiology, and immunology, and have built a highly educated and innovative talent team.
