Not medical advice

CareAtlas publishes information about hospitals, treatments, and travel in mainland China. It is not medical advice, and reading this site is no substitute for a consultation with a qualified doctor. Never delay or ignore professional medical advice because of something you read here.

If you have a medical emergency while in mainland China, call 120 — the national ambulance number.

Information changes

Hospitals change phone numbers, departments, and prices; visa rules and entry requirements change too. We verify facts against sources and re-check them, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is current at the moment you read it. Before you act on anything important — an appointment, a quoted price, a visa plan — confirm it directly with the hospital and the relevant authorities.

Limits of treatment abroad

Traveling for treatment has inherent limits that no website can remove:

  • Follow-up care usually happens at home, with doctors who did not perform the treatment.
  • Complications may arise after you leave China, far from the treating team.
  • Some treatments require multiple visits spread over months.

Discuss these realities with your doctors at home and with the treating doctors in China before committing to travel.
