Large public tertiary A-level general hospital in Nanjing, also the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, originating in 1936. It has Guangzhou Road and Longjiang campuses (Yuhua under construction), more than 4,600 beds and 18 national clinical key specialties. The hospital publishes an English 'international version' website with campus phones, but no dedicated international patient desk.

Municipal general hospital of Nanjing founded in 1936, among the first hospitals awarded grade 3A by the former Ministry of Health. It has the Changle Road main campus, a Hexi campus and a South campus. The Nanjing Foreign Affairs Office lists it among international healthcare providers, noting its International Medical Department provides an interpreter for each patient.

Peking Union Medical College Hospital is a public Class A tertiary general hospital in central Beijing. Its International Medical Services (IMS) has served embassy staff and foreigners since 1951 and runs its own outpatient, emergency and inpatient areas at the Dongdan campus. IMS has dedicated booking lines for foreigners and embassies and direct billing with about 30 commercial insurers.

Peking University International Hospital is a large non-profit general hospital in northern Beijing with an International Medical Center for foreign patients and commercial-insurance clients. Peking University Shenzhen Hospital in Futian runs a Special Clinic & International Medical Department that serves foreign visitors and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots. The department offers VIP check-ups, specialist clinics and cashless direct billing with several domestic and international insurers. Peking University Third Hospital set up an International Medical Department in 2023, offering outpatient and inpatient one-stop services, VIP specialist appointments and nurse escorts. Grade 3A regional general hospital founded in 1934. Government and Belt and Road reports state it runs an international medical service department with Russian- and Kazakh-speaking guides and nurses, offers foreign patients registration, test and bed booking and nurse escorts, and saw 347 foreign outpatient visits in 2023. Ruijin Hainan Hospital (Hainan Boao Research Hospital) is the only public hospital in the Boao Lecheng pilot zone, built by the Hainan provincial government with Shanghai's Ruijin Hospital as the output hospital; phase one has 500 approved beds. It was approved as a fourth-batch National Regional Medical Center project in October 2022 and focuses on oncology/hematology, cardio-cerebrovascular/metabolic and neuroscience discipline clusters. By end-2023 it had introduced 85 licensed new drug and device projects, and it is connected to the national medical insurance platform for cross-province settlement.

Sanya Central Hospital (Hainan Third People's Hospital) is the only large general 3A (三级甲等) hospital in southern Hainan, located at 1154 Jiefang Road in central Sanya with 1,800 budgeted beds. The city health commission profile lists a foreign-related medical services department (涉外医疗服务部) and a 24-hour emergency green channel. Its official website was unreachable from abroad, so no direct contact channel could be verified.

Sanya People's Hospital is the municipal general hospital at 558 Jiefang Road, Tianya District; since June 2021 it has been run in depth by West China Hospital of Sichuan University as 'West China Sanya Hospital'. The government public-service profile publishes its phones, fax, email and official website. No international department is published.

Grade 3A general teaching hospital founded in 1958 and a Liaoning regional medical centre. Its International Medical Department, by Xinghai Bay, was upgraded in 2025–26 with a 15-person nursing team. No phone, email or language information for the department is published.

In 2026 it was named one of 25 first-batch Guangdong pilot hospitals for international medical services. Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, founded in 1941 and merged with the Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences in 2002, is a large public hospital in Chengdu affiliated with UESTC. It was rated a tertiary Class A hospital in 1989 and has about 4,300 beds across several campuses. Its outpatient directory lists an International Medical Department (special needs) at the main campus, the Caotang campus and the Institute of Dermatology.

The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, founded in 1957, is a tertiary Class A teaching hospital with several campuses. Its International Medical Department at the Jinshan campus offers general-practice management, specialist care and multidisciplinary consultations for international patients, with English-speaking doctors, a 24/7 bilingual phone line and commercial insurance services. It is on Chongqing's first list of hospitals approved for foreign-related medical services (2024).
