Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery

The Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery of Zhejiang Hospital serves as the chairing or presidency institution for multiple national- and provincial-level academic societies (associations). It has specialist outpatient clinics, independent wards, operating rooms, and beauty treatment rooms. It performs various aesthetic and plastic surgeries (including those of the eyes, nose, lips, ears, breasts, and body contouring), maxillofacial plastic and aesthetic surgeries, various minimally invasive injection-based aesthetic procedures, treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds, and organ reconstruction techniques (including the ears, nose, penis, and breasts). It also uses autologous cellular active substances combined with autologous fat grafting for breast augmentation and wound repair, among other applications.

The department has introduced internationally leading laser skin-rejuvenation equipment and is the national clinical training and demonstration base for the Cynosure 755 honeycomb picosecond laser in China. The picosecond laser can deeply remove freckles and nevus fusco-caeruleus, lighten melasma, remove tattoos, reduce yellowish and dark pigmentation and even skin tone, remove fine lines, whiten and rejuvenate the skin, and treat stretch marks. The Xinhuihuang 360 photorejuvenation device can reduce facial telangiectasia and treat acne. Fractional laser can treat skin depressions, scars, enlarged pores, and other conditions. Lumenis Moonlight hair removal can provide painless hair removal, among other treatments.
