Neurological Function Examination Center
Zhejiang Hospital Neurological Function Examination Center, as an important medical-technical platform under the Department of Neurology, encompasses three core functional examination platforms: electroencephalography (EEG), transcranial Doppler (TCD), and electromyography (EMG), providing comprehensive technical support for the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system diseases.
1.Electroencephalography (EEG) Room: Since it took the lead in introducing the British OXFORD ambulatory electroencephalograph in the province in 1993, it has accumulated more than 30 years of technical experience. The two hospital campuses are currently equipped with 2 portable routine electroencephalographs, 4 24-hour ambulatory electroencephalographs, and 1 short-term video electroencephalograph, meeting progressive needs ranging from basic screening to precise monitoring; the 2 internationally advanced long-term video electroencephalographs introduced in 2018 significantly improve the diagnostic efficacy for epilepsy and related diseases through synchronized video and EEG monitoring.
2.The Transcranial Doppler (TCD) Room relies on internationally cutting-edge ultrasound technology and focuses on the early screening, precise diagnosis, and intraoperative monitoring of cerebrovascular diseases. It has developed distinctive advantages in areas including cerebral artery stenosis and occlusion, cerebrovascular spasm, right-to-left cardiac shunt, adjunctive diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, and assessment of cerebral blood-flow reserve, providing reliable cerebrovascular functional assessment data for clinical decision-making.
3.Electromyography (EMG) Room: Since examinations began in 1989, it has provided services for more than 30 years. Its testing services cover more than 10 clinical departments, including neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, endocrinology, and pediatrics. Through a multidisciplinary collaboration model, it provides key diagnostic evidence for peripheral neuropathies, muscle diseases, and other conditions, strongly supporting the diagnosis, treatment, and efficacy assessment of diseases across multiple disciplines.
