Radiology
Zhejiang Hospital’s Department of Radiology was founded in 1954 and is one of the hospital’s earliest departments. It has grown together with the hospital since its establishment and is a comprehensive clinical discipline integrating examination, diagnosis and treatment. The department undertakes extensive clinical and cadre health-care work and has advanced domestic high-end equipment, including a Siemens photon-counting CT, Siemens vida 3.0T MRI, GE Premier 3.0T MRI, navigation angiography system, mammography unit and dual-energy bone densitometer.
The staffing structure is well balanced, with more than 90 employees, including 15 senior-title staff. The department has diagnostic, technical, nursing, engineering and registration teams. The diagnostic team comprises six subspecialty groups: head and neck, cardiothoracic, abdominal, interventional, musculoskeletal and breast imaging. Centered on these groups, it performs imaging examination, diagnosis and interventional treatment throughout the body, using precise diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease to drive multidisciplinary development. Its Imaging and Interventional Center provides comprehensive interventional treatment, covering peripheral endovascular and extravascular procedures such as transcatheter chemoembolization of tumor vessels, embolization for bronchial hemoptysis, embolization for gastrointestinal bleeding, radiofrequency ablation of solid tumors, radiofrequency and microwave ablation of pulmonary nodules, preoperative localization of pulmonary nodules, tissue biopsy at all sites, venous infusion-port placement and intestinal-obstruction catheter placement.
