Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Shanghai University of TCM
The Zhu school of gynecology developed across three generations—Zhu Nanshan, Zhu Xiaonan, and Zhu Nansun—and flourished, earning renown throughout the country. Because the Zhu school placed importance on education, it founded Xin Zhongguo Yixueyuan (literally, “New China Medical College”) to train successors. Its students spread widely; the school earned a high reputation nationwide and was praised overseas. It is one of the influential academic traditions in traditional Chinese medicine gynecology in Shanghai and across China.
