Radiotherapy

The Department of Radiation Oncology of Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, was established in 2015. It is located on Basement Level 2 of the Comprehensive Inpatient Building on the new campus. The total floor area is over 1,000 m², with 3 accelerator vaults, 1 Gamma Knife room, and 1 CT simulation and localization room. From the outset, the department introduced internationally advanced treatment equipment, including two high-energy medical linear accelerators, a latest-generation cranial Gamma Knife treatment system, and a large-bore simulation CT. These enable the precise delivery of advanced radiotherapy techniques, including three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, inverse-planned intensity-modulated radiotherapy, rotational intensity-modulated radiotherapy, and stereotactic radiotherapy. To ensure treatment safety and efficacy, we installed an advanced information management system and equipped the department with a complete set of quality-control and quality-assurance equipment, safeguarding the entire radiotherapy process!

2. Our treatment team consists of physicians, medical physicists, therapists, and nurses. It is a high-caliber, highly educated, and highly skilled team. With extensive experience, proficient technical skills, scientific rigor, and a conscientious and responsible attitude, the team is committed to providing radiotherapy for tumors of all body systems through rigorous work, constantly improving treatment techniques, and upholding a service ethos of putting patients first. We strive to provide patients with individualized treatment plans and achieve more satisfactory treatment outcomes!

Has published 3 professional papers; served as principal investigator for 1 radiotherapy research project; participated in 2 clinical radiotherapy research projects; and participated in the translation and writing of 2 professional monographs.

Zhao Yongrui — Master's Degree, Capital Medical University; Resident Physician Completed standardized residency training in radiation oncology at the Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Completed Gamma Knife training at Shanghai Gamma Hospital. Undertook study visits to the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beijing Tiantan Hospital and the Neuro-Oncology Chemotherapy Center at Beijing Sanbo Brain Hospital. Published 2 professional papers and participated in writing and translating 4 relevant professional books.
