Pharmacy Department
The Department of Pharmacy has 128 pharmacists and is equipped with modern facilities, including automatic medication dispensing machines, intelligent medication cabinets, and multifunctional decocting machines.
The department specializes in rational drug use, geriatric pharmacy, and formulation research and development. It features such specialized technologies as counter-based pharmacy services, prescription review, medication order review, medication consultation, clinical pharmacists, drug evaluation, and therapeutic drug monitoring. It is one of the first clinical pharmacist training bases, system pilot units, and faculty training bases designated by the National Health and Family Planning Commission. It hosts national-level continuing education programs every year and undertakes national-level scientific research projects.
The department is also a key clinical pharmacy specialty under Beijing’s Traditional Chinese Medicine “Twelfth Five-Year Plan,” one of the first batch of demonstration traditional Chinese medicine pharmacies in Beijing, and a Beijing Youth Civilization Unit. The department’s service tenet is “compassion, warmth, meticulousness, and patience,” and its service commitment is “Pharmacists by your side, serving your health.”
