The Second Oncology Department of Xinjiang Autonomous Region Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, founded in April 2003, is an integrated oncology department combining Chinese and Western medicine and interventional treatment. It treats lung, breast, colorectal, gastric, liver and prostate cancers, precancerous disease and rehabilitation, using chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted and immune therapy, biopsies, embolization, esophageal and biliary stents. It is a teaching and research center with 2 doctoral and 44 master’s students trained since 2006, more than 300 papers and 5 patents.
