Orthopedics II (Joint Surgery)
Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
The department currently has 122 open beds, 15 physicians, and 25 nurses, including 1 physician with a doctoral degree, 3 physicians currently pursuing doctoral degrees, 3 chief physicians, and 4 associate chief physicians. Our department continues to leverage the distinctive strengths of traditional Chinese medicine, strengthen surgical techniques, and place equal emphasis on traditional Chinese and Western medicine. We are strengthening the validation and development of treatment protocols for the department’s major diseases, including various types of osteoarthritis, ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, and sports injuries of major joints such as the shoulder and knee, as well as the perioperative treatment and research involving traditional Chinese medicine in major orthopedic surgeries. We continue to perform various joint replacement procedures and revision surgeries, as well as various sports medicine surgeries. We took the lead in introducing and promoting knee-preserving and hip-preserving surgical techniques (HTO, UKA, and femoral head impacted bone grafting), developing intelligent joint replacement technologies, and refining minimally invasive sports medicine and enhanced recovery. We have established a certain degree of influence both within the region and nationwide.
