Surgical Anaesthesia

The Department of Surgical Anesthesia of the Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Xinjiang Medical University was established in 1976, and after more than 40 years of tireless effort, it has now developed into a first-level clinical department integrating clinical practice, teaching, and research. It undertakes routine surgical anesthesia and clinical pain treatment, and also undertakes undergraduate teaching and clinical internship instruction at Xinjiang Medical University. Our department currently has 20 domestically first-class laminar-flow clean operating rooms, more than 40 world-level instruments and devices, and all operating rooms are equipped with advanced equipment such as multifunctional anesthesia machines at an internationally advanced level, multiparameter vital-sign monitors, target-controlled micro-infusion pumps, electrosurgical knife workstations, and fiberoptic bronchoscopes. Our department has accumulated rich clinical experience in clinical anesthesia, the emergency rescue of patients with acute, critical, and severe conditions, pain treatment, and other areas, pursues innovation, is proficient in various anesthesia methods and operating skills, has successfully provided anesthesia for beating-heart coronary artery bypass surgery, congenital heart surgery, valve replacement surgery for rheumatic heart disease, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, orthopedics, spinal surgery, gynecology, urology, knee and hip joint replacement, various endoscopic surgeries, pediatric and geriatric surgeries, and other operations, carried out various pain treatments and post-anesthesia recovery treatment, and undertaken in-hospital emergency resuscitation of critically ill patients.
