The Department of Breast Surgery (Breast Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center) of the Women's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, is one of the earliest specialty departments established in Zhejiang Province and one of the departments specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of female breast diseases. Each year, the department manages an average of more than 70,000 outpatient visits and more than 5,600 inpatient cases, and performs more than 4,000 major and minor operations, including more than 500 cases of breast cancer. It currently has 18 physicians, including 3 chief physicians, 6 deputy chief physicians, and 6 attending physicians; 6 hold doctoral degrees and 9 hold master's degrees. The nursing staff consists of 14 members, including 1 deputy chief nurse and 7 nurses in charge. The department has strong technical capabilities and a first-class professional team specializing in breast tumors.
