The department has always been committed to the construction and development of the clinical nutrition specialty, with nearly 60 clinical nutritionists, an enteral nutrition preparation center with a Class 100,000 level of cleanliness, a standardized nutritional assessment laboratory, and a therapeutic diet experimental kitchen. Professor Hu Wen, Director of the Department, and Professor Rao Zhiyong, Secretary of the Department Party Branch, lead all department staff in undertaking the hospital-wide clinical nutrition treatment, patient meal preparation, clinical nutrition specialty education, and national-, provincial-, and ministerial-level scientific research, using a specialized and standardized management and operation model. The department has successively received the titles of National “Top Ten Nutrition Departments,” one of the first batch of national pilot units for the construction of “Clinical Nutrition Departments,” “China Clinical Nutrition Demonstration Base,” and “Registered Dietitian Practice Teaching Base.” 1.
