With a focus on precision and minimally invasive care, the department treats spinal disease. The hospital describes its minimally invasive and degenerative spine care as advanced within the province. It treats degenerative disease, trauma, deformity, tumors and infections, including cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar stenosis and spondylolisthesis, cervical, thoracolumbar and upper cervical fractures, spinal tuberculosis, nonspecific spinal infection, spinal metastases and degenerative scoliosis. The department describes these methods as causing less trauma and bleeding and permitting faster recovery.

For neck, shoulder, low back and leg pain, the department uses TCM methods including oral and topical herbal medicines, needle-knife therapy, manual spinal manipulation, herbal fumigation and washing, cupping and moving cupping, fire-dragon moxibustion, herbal acupoint patches, herbal foot baths, auricular seed acupressure and ultrasound-assisted herbal delivery, which it reports have produced good results.
