The Sleep Medicine Center of Zhejiang Provincial Tongde Hospital is a comprehensive sleep center led by the Department of Neurology and integrating multiple disciplines, including the Departments of Mental Health, Psychosomatic Medicine, Clinical Psychology, Respiratory Medicine, Otolaryngology, Traditional Chinese Internal Medicine, and Acupuncture and Tuina. Based on each patient’s condition, it provides intervention through various approaches, such as preliminary diagnosis at the center, specialist diagnosis and treatment, and multidisciplinary consultations in the MDT model. It can comprehensively and meticulously monitor and diagnose patients with sleep disorders and formulate reasonable and comprehensive treatment plans for sleep disorders, making it an excellent platform for facilitating patients’ access to medical care and improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment.

The Sleep Medicine Center has advanced diagnostic equipment, including standard sleep examination rooms, video EEG and polysomnographic recording equipment, and multiple portable polysomnographic recorders. It can provide patients with all-night sleep examinations, objectively assess insomnia status and the degree of sleepiness, and accurately diagnose simple snoring, upper airway resistance syndrome, sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, abnormal behaviors during sleep, and other sleep disorders.

The Sleep Medicine Center’s hardware and software conditions, environmental development, diagnostic methods, standards, and procedures are all standardized and compliant. It mainly addresses various types of sleep disorders, including simple snoring, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, and upper airway resistance syndrome; simple insomnia, circadian rhythm abnormalities, parasomnias, restless legs syndrome, REM sleep behavior disorder, narcolepsy, dementia, and cognitive disorders; schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, adolescent emotional and psychological disorders, and other conditions, as well as sleep problems caused by medication side effects and substance dependence.

The Sleep Medicine Center combines advanced operating models from China and abroad, while also focusing on highlighting the distinctive strengths of integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
