Founded in 1992 with a ward opened in 2000, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine First Hospital’s Psychosomatic Department is a national and municipal key specialty. Its 20 physicians and multidisciplinary team integrate Chinese and Western medicine to treat depression, anxiety, insomnia, OCD, functional cardiac and gastrointestinal disease and somatic pain using acupuncture, herbal acupoint therapy, biofeedback, psychotherapy and sleep monitoring; it also teaches, researches and trains clinicians.
