Rheumatology and Immunology

The rheumatology and immunology outpatient clinic opened in March 2007. In January 2008 it joined the traditional Chinese medicine clinic and general medicine department in a combined ward. In May 2014 rheumatology and immunology became an independent clinical department. It assists other hospital departments with difficult rheumatic diagnoses and treatments and provides rheumatology care and chronic disease work, clinical teaching, standardized resident training and medical research. The department reports six staff: one chief physician with a medical doctorate, one associate chief physician studying for a doctorate, one resident with a master’s degree, one supervising nurse, one qualified nurse and one nurse. It has 12 beds.

2. New techniques

2015 and 2016: intra-articular biological agents for rheumatoid arthritis, Yu Xueman. 2017: biological agents for rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, Yu Xueman. 2018: biological agents for rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, Yu Xueman and Pei Bing. 2019: biological agents for rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, Yu Xueman and Pei Bing.

3. Research

December 2015: Shenyang Science and Technology Progress Award, third prize, certificate 2015J-3-56-5; Yu Xueman, ranked third.

4. International exchange

April 2017: chief physician Yu Xueman attended the Japanese rheumatology annual meeting at Fukuoka International Congress Center.
