Paediatrics
From 2010 to 2019, pediatrics developed alongside the hospital, with considerable improvements in staffing and facilities over nearly a decade. According to this historical account, the pediatric ward had 20 open beds, outpatient, emergency and child health clinics, and provided newborn ward rounds and emergency care for obstetrics. Annual outpatient volume was approximately 50,000 visits. The department had 36 healthcare staff: 16 pediatric physicians, including six chief physicians, four associate chief physicians, three attending physicians and three resident physicians; and 20 nursing staff, including 12 supervising nurses, three nurses at the next professional grade and five nurses.
