Pain Medicine
Pain medicine is a nationally recognized primary discipline. The hospital began pain diagnosis and treatment in 1994, relatively early in the province. After more than 20 years of clinical experience, the Pain Medicine Department was established in June 2014 by expanding the existing outpatient clinic and integrating anesthesiology, neuroscience and other disciplines. It combines minimally invasive interventions with medication, nerve blocks and physical therapy for acute and chronic pain. The hospital describes its clinical team as excellent and its pain and rehabilitation equipment as first-rate.
The department has pain and rehabilitation equipment including two monopolar and one bipolar radiofrequency devices, an ozone therapy device, a shockwave system, ultrasound therapy and ultrashort-wave equipment. Its team includes pain medicine, anesthesiology and neurosurgery specialists. Core techniques include targeted radiofrequency thermocoagulation, ozone ablation, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, lesioning at targets such as the celiac plexus and ganglion impar, and intrathecal and intravenous analgesia pumps.
