Cardiac and Great Vessel Surgery
I. Department Introduction
Under the leadership of Director Li Qiang and through the joint efforts of all medical staff, the Department of Cardiovascular and Great Vessel Surgery (hereinafter referred to as the “Cardiac Surgery Department”) has become a leading clinical department of the hospital with advanced technology and equipment. The department’s personnel have also increased year by year. More than 200 cardiac surgeries of various types are completed annually, including various complex and critical operations, with a success rate of over 98%; its technical level has reached an advanced domestic standard.
II. Development of New Technologies
From 2014-2017, the Cardiac Surgery Department successively purchased various new surgical instruments and medical equipment, such as an intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation pump, a cardiopulmonary bypass machine, a radiofrequency ablation therapy device, two ventilators, and multiple monitors, achieving simultaneous improvement in technology and equipment.
