The First Hospital of Lanzhou University

The First Hospital of Lanzhou University was founded in 1948 as the hospital attached to the Medical School of National Lanzhou University. In 1954, when Lanzhou Medical College became an independent institution, the hospital was named the Affiliated Hospital of Lanzhou Medical College. It was renamed the First Affiliated Hospital of Lanzhou Medical College in 1959. In 2004, following its incorporation into Lanzhou University, it adopted its current name. In March 2012, it took over management of Lantai Hospital of Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group, naming it the Donggang Campus of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University. On 9 May 2023, Lantai Hospital was transferred to the hospital in its entirety.
