Reproductive Medicine Centre

The Reproductive Medicine Center is the first in the autonomous region to obtain qualification certification, has the largest outpatient volume, and offers the most comprehensive range of diagnosis and treatment services for infertility-related diseases. It is the Autonomous Region Assisted Reproductive Technology Quality Control Center. It receives over 100,000 outpatient visits annually and performs 3500-5000 IVF-ET (in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer, “test-tube baby”) cycles annually, with a success rate of 50-55%. It has 57 professional and technical personnel, including 9 with senior professional titles, 8 with intermediate professional titles, 8 doctoral degree holders, and 9 master’s degree holders. The facility covers 2500m2 and includes an infertility outpatient consultation area, an IVF monitoring and surgical area, and a PGT molecular laboratory area. Advanced instruments and equipment include a micromanipulation system, an IVF medical-record fingerprint identification system, a real-time embryo monitoring system, a microsurgical sperm retrieval system, a laser drilling system, a second-generation sequencer, a semen analysis system, a carbon dioxide incubator, a three-dimensional ultrasound machine, and hysteroscopy equipment, with a total value of 26 million yuan. Core technologies: IVF-ET, ICSI-ET, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), assisted embryo hatching (including embryo micromanipulation biopsy technology), embryo cryopreservation and frozen-thawed embryo transfer technology, oocyte and sperm cryopreservation technology, testicular and epididymal biopsy and microsurgical sperm retrieval technology, routine semen analysis, sperm morphology analysis, antisperm antibody and sperm function testing (sperm acrosome function and sperm DNA fragmentation testing), and multifetal pregnancy reduction. Outpatient services: systematic examinations and outpatient monitoring and treatment for both partners of infertile couples, diagnosis, treatment, and management of recurrent miscarriage and endometriosis, diagnosis and treatment of menstrual disorders during adolescence and menopause, and infertility-related hysteroscopy examinations and surgery. 9 physicians hold positions in national and autonomous-region-level academic societies. The center undertakes undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at Inner Mongolia Medical University. It has undertaken more than 20 national-level and autonomous-region-level scientific research projects.
