Rehabilitation Treatment Center

The Physical Rehabilitation Treatment Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University was established in 2009 and is currently located on the west side of the 7th floor of the hospital's outpatient comprehensive building, with a department area of about 1000 m2. The center has region-leading rehabilitation concepts, advanced rehabilitation equipment and professional technical staff, and a clean and comfortable environment; it is the first choice for the great number of patients undergoing rehabilitation treatment. The center has 13 staff members (2 physicians and 11 therapists), including 2 with senior professional titles, 6 with intermediate professional titles, and 5 with master's degrees. In recent years, the staff of the department have successively received training in advanced concepts and techniques in Hong Kong, Beijing and Guangzhou, and have accumulated rich treatment experience in clinical practice. The center has a specialized outpatient clinic for physical rehabilitation treatment, providing assessment and treatment for patients with functional impairment throughout the hospital; it focuses on rehabilitation of dysfunction due to bone and joint diseases and sports injuries, rehabilitation of physical function, speech and swallowing function, and psychological and cognitive dysfunction caused by neurological diseases, and early bedside rehabilitation, while also covering postoperative surgical rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, lymphedema rehabilitation, visceral rehabilitation, tumor rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation and critical care rehabilitation in comprehensive physical rehabilitation treatment, mainly adopting various non-pharmacological and non-surgical treatment measures to help patients improve the physiological and psychological functions impaired by disease, injury and disability, thereby enhancing their activities of daily living and work capacity and enabling them to return to family and society as early as possible. The center currently has functional areas such as an occupational therapy room, an exercise therapy room, an assessment room, a psychological counseling room, an orthotic and brace room, a speech therapy room, a swallowing therapy room, a physical agent therapy room and a traditional therapy room.
