Department Overview: Pathology Department, total department staff 34 members, personnel engaged in pathological diagnosis 20 members; among them, 9 professors (including 5 chief physicians and 2 associate chief physicians, 2 attending physicians), 4 associate professors (including 2 associate chief physicians, 2 attending physicians), 4 lecturers (including 3 attending physicians, 1 resident physician), 1 teaching assistant, and 2 resident physicians. There are 12 technical personnel, including 1 senior laboratory technologist, 4 laboratory technologists, 1 assistant laboratory technologist, and 6 contract laboratory personnel. 6 people hold doctoral degrees, 14 hold master's degrees; the department currently has 7 supervisors of master's students, currently undertakes 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (4 completed), 3 projects of the Ministry of Education Chunhui Program, and 10 scientific research projects of the autonomous region, has published nearly 300-plus papers, including 13 SCI papers; it has received 1 second prize in the natural sciences of the autonomous region. 2 people are Young Science and Technology Leading Talents of Higher Education Institutions of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and are at the second level of the autonomous region's “New Century 321 Talent Project”, and 2 are autonomous-region Grassland Talents; the Pathology Department has a routine sectioning and staining room, a special staining room, a molecular pathology room (FISH, DCISH and in situ hybridization), an immunohistochemistry room, an exfoliative cytology room, a liquid-based thin-layer cytology room, and an immunofluorescence room, and is equipped with fully automatic tissue dehydraters, fully automatic HE staining machines and immunohistochemical staining machines, cryostats, single- and multi-head microscopes, fluorescence microscopes, pathology report workstations, etc., with nearly 40000 surgical specimen and biopsy specimen cases per year, 3500 frozen cases, 130 renal puncture biopsy cases, and 1500 consultations from outside the hospital. Business Scope: The pathological diagnostic technology services currently performed include: routine surgical pathology examination, exfoliative cytopathology, liquid-based cytology testing technology, intraoperative rapid frozen-section diagnosis, special staining, 130 immunohistochemical examination items, bone marrow pathological biopsy, renal puncture biopsy, and other services.
