Pharmacy
The department comprises four sections: the pharmacy warehouse, the outpatient and emergency pharmacy, the inpatient pharmacy (including the Intravenous Drug Preparation Center), and clinical pharmacy. Its routine activities include hospital pharmaceutical-affairs management; drug procurement and supply, dispensing, and centralized preparation of intravenous drugs; monitoring the rational use of antimicrobial drugs; clinical pharmacy; scientific research; and other work.
In 2013, the equipment was updated and integrated: an automatic drug-packaging machine, an automatic drug-dispensing machine, and an intelligent injectable-drug cabinet were combined into a three-in-one system, thereby innovating the drug-dispensing model. In 2022, smart medication cabinets in the wards were gradually updated, more refined barcode management was implemented for medications, and end-to-end traceability of medication management and use was fully achieved.
Clinical pharmacy services are being expanded. As important members of multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment teams, clinical pharmacists participate throughout the entire process in clinical rounds, consultations, pharmaceutical care, and other activities; they have independently developed an auxiliary decision-support system for clinical medication use that performs dual real-time review and verification of prescriptions; and they actively explore and develop innovative models of "Internet + pharmaceutical services." The department provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services to ensure patients’ medication safety.
