Nuclear Medicine
The department's reconstruction and expansion were completed in September 2013. It is currently a nuclear medicine department that was among the earliest in Binhai New Area to establish a PET/CT center and has comprehensive imaging capabilities. In June 2016 and April 2017, respectively, it introduced the dual-head single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) system GE NM630 and the latest-generation cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) cardiac-specific SPECT system (GE NM530c), thereby forming a complete system framework comprising single-photon imaging, positron imaging, and the production and synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals using a medical cyclotron; among these, the CZT cardiac-specific SPECT is the second nuclear medicine cardiac imaging device in China and the first in Tianjin.
All routine nuclear medicine imaging examinations can be performed daily in the department. With cardiac nuclear medicine as its specialty, it focuses on PET/CT myocardial viability imaging, coronary flow reserve (CFR) imaging with PET/CT or CZT cardiac-specific SPECT, myocardial amyloidosis imaging, exercise (pharmacological) stress/rest myocardial perfusion imaging, and other specialized cardiac examinations, as well as cerebral metabolism and tumor imaging.
