Internal Medicine Department V

The department undertakes the clinical diagnosis and treatment of various cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, heart failure, various types of cardiomyopathy and structural heart disease. It can independently carry out various cardiovascular interventional diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including coronary interventional treatment, such as coronary (absorbable) stent implantation (PCI), drug-coated balloon dilatation, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve examination (FFR), optical coherence tomography vascular imaging (OCT) and coronary rotational atherectomy; electrophysiological examination and interventional treatment of arrhythmia, such as cryoballoon ablation, radiofrequency ablation and left atrial appendage occlusion; interventional occlusion of structural heart disease; and permanent pacemaker implantation.
