Cardiac and Great Vessel Surgery Department 3
The Third Department of Cardiac and Great Vessel Surgery specializes in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, ventricular assist device implantation, and surgical interventional treatment. The main procedures performed include coronary artery bypass grafting, cardiac valve repair and replacement. The department also excels in the surgical treatment of patients with aortic dissection and aneurysm, atrial fibrillation, constrictive pericarditis, arrhythmia, heart failure, and severe cardiac dysfunction caused by various conditions. The department has accumulated extensive experience in treating coronary heart disease, congenital heart disease, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmia. It is particularly skilled in minimally invasive and small-incision surgery for congenital heart disease, valvular disease, and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, with concealed incisions and aesthetically pleasing healing. It was the first in Tianjin to perform endoscopic harvesting of the great saphenous vein and radial artery during bypass surgery, thoracoscopic radiofrequency ablation for isolated atrial fibrillation, and thoracoscopic surgery for atrial septal defects, ventricular septal defects, and other conditions, filling several gaps in Tianjin’s cardiovascular technical specialties. The department specializes in minimally invasive and interventional treatment for severe and complex cardiac surgery, combined surgical and nonsurgical electrophysiological treatment such as epicardial electrode implantation, and VAD and transplantation surgery for patients with heart failure. It is the core team department of the left ventricular assist surgery group at Taixin Hospital.
