The Department of General Surgery of Taikang Xianlin Gulou Hospital is a member institution of the 5th and 6th Jiangsu Provincial Surgical Branches and the Vascular Surgery Committee, a sub-center of the China Hernia Disease Specialty Alliance, a Collaborative Center for Laparoscopic Technology (China) of the University of Porto, and a GIMMI Laparoscopic Technology (China) Training Base in Germany. Following the establishment of in-depth cooperation between our hospital and Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, the department provides diagnosis and treatment for specialized diseases, including gastrointestinal tumors, thyroid and breast tumors, various types of hernias, hepatobiliary diseases, and vascular diseases, at an industry-leading level. The department offers outpatient services with renowned general surgery experts, a specialized gastrointestinal and hernia clinic, a specialized hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and splenic clinic, a specialized thyroid and breast clinic, and a specialized vascular surgery clinic. It routinely performs laparoscopic surgical treatment for various benign and malignant diseases and is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment devices, including Olympus and Storz high-definition laparoscopic systems, the Mammotome minimally invasive breast treatment system, and a microwave treatment system. The department is committed to providing high-quality medical services to the general public.
