Introduction

In March 2022, the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Multidisciplinary Team Alliance was officially established, and in addition to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, the team encompasses a pulmonary vascular disease multidisciplinary alliance comprising the Departments of Rheumatology and Immunology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Gastroenterology, as well as Cardiac Ultrasound, Imaging and Interventional Medicine, and other departments; it is equipped to perform specialized routine examinations such as right-heart echocardiography, also has the capacity to perform right-heart catheterization and interventional surgery, and provides standardized treatment for pulmonary vascular diseases. The Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine serves as a National Regional Medical Center for Respiratory Diseases and is also an outstanding institution of the National Pulmonary Vascular Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center and the chairing institution of the Zhejiang Province Pulmonary Vascular Disease Alliance. In the field of pulmonary vascular diseases, it has a specialized team and physicians dedicated to these diseases, possesses extensive experience, and the number of visits by patients with pulmonary vascular diseases and the number of inpatients at this institution rank first in the province.
