Pulmonary Hypertension Multidisciplinary Outpatient Clinic

Introduction

In March 2022, the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Multidisciplinary Team Alliance was officially established. In addition to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, the alliance includes the Departments of Rheumatology and Immunology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Cardiac Ultrasound, and Interventional Imaging. It is equipped to perform specialized right-heart echocardiography and other routine examinations, as well as right-heart catheterization and interventional procedures, and provides standardized targeted pharmacological treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension. As a National Regional Medical Center for Respiratory Diseases and also a Chinese Center for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine is an outstanding institution among national pulmonary vascular disease diagnosis and treatment centers. It has a specialized team and physicians dedicated to pulmonary arterial hypertension, with extensive experience. The number of visits and hospitalizations of patients with pulmonary hypertension at our institution ranks first in the province.
