Autoinflammatory Diseases Multidisciplinary Outpatient Clinic
Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine
Introduction
Autoinflammatory diseases are a group of chronic inflammatory diseases caused by abnormalities of the innate immune system. They manifest as recurrent fever, skin rashes, joint swelling and pain, and other symptoms, involving multisystem damage. Our hospital’s MDT outpatient clinic brings together multidisciplinary experts from the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, the Department of Hematology/Cell Therapy Center, and the Department of Hepatology and Infectious Diseases, including Professor Qing Zhou, an expert in autoinflammatory diseases and a US-licensed clinical molecular geneticist, to provide patients with comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. The Department of Rheumatology and Immunology is responsible for disease diagnosis and immunomodulatory treatment, and collaborates with the Department of Hematology to provide biologic agents or cellular therapy for refractory cases, while working with the Department of Hepatology and Infectious Diseases to manage concomitant infections, liver injury, and other issues. Through multidisciplinary collaboration, treatment plans are optimized and patient outcomes are improved.
