Precision Treatment of Cardiomyopathy Multidisciplinary Outpatient Clinic
Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine
Introduction
The Multidisciplinary Outpatient Clinic for Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Cardiomyopathy provides comprehensive medical services specifically for patients with heart failure and cardiomyopathy. The team consists of experts in cardiology, radiology, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine, pathology, and obstetrics and gynecology. It aims to provide comprehensive, individualized services—including precision imaging, myocardial biopsy, and genetic diagnosis and treatment plans—for patients with heart failure and cardiomyopathy, particularly challenging cardiomyopathies such as Fabry, amyloid-like myocardial degeneration, “hypertrophic heart,” right ventricular cardiomyopathy, and the source’s nonstandard term “wan-zuo cardiomyopathy.”
As the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure and rare cardiomyopathies become increasingly complex, precision imaging, myocardial biopsy, and genetic testing are often used. These conditions seriously threaten patients’ health, and some cases are easily missed. Through multidisciplinary collaboration, we can integrate the expertise of the various departments, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive assessment and treatment in a convenient setting, and provide genetic counseling and diagnostic and treatment services for precision diagnosis and treatment before and after pregnancy and childbirth.
Our goals are to improve patient diagnosis, achieve early diagnosis and treatment, establish a definite diagnosis as early as possible, prevent sudden death, and provide a more comprehensive assessment for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiomyopathy. Here, patients will receive individualized diagnostic and treatment plans, have their cases discussed by multidisciplinary experts, and be provided with a complete, accurate assessment plan spanning diagnosis and treatment through the perinatal period. We are committed to providing every patient with the highest-quality medical services and helping them better cope with the challenges brought by disease.
