The pathology department team has a complete set of advanced, efficient, environmentally friendly modern pathology equipment and can perform routine histopathological diagnosis, liquid-based thin-layer cytology, conventional cytology, intraoperative frozen-section diagnosis, immunohistochemistry techniques, special staining techniques, and so on. The department has established a comprehensive quality-control system covering the entire workflow, from specimen receipt, fixation, dehydration, embedding, sectioning, and staining to pathologists’ slide review and report issuance. Strict standard operating procedures (SOP) have been formulated for every step, and internal monitoring and improvement are carried out continuously.
