Interventional Vascular Medicine
Carries out the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the arterial system, venous system, and lymphatic circulation system in vascular surgery, and is proficient in open surgery and minimally invasive interventional procedures for common and frequently occurring vascular surgical diseases. Has particular expertise in lower-extremity arteriosclerotic occlusive disease; supra-aortic artery diseases, “including carotid and vertebral artery stenosis and occlusion”; venous thrombotic diseases (DVT, PE); post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS); and venous-return-obstruction diseases (Cockett syndrome). Performs multiple advanced procedures, including minimally invasive endovascular surgery for aortic dissection (TEVAR) and abdominal aortic aneurysm (EVAR), peripheral vascular prosthetic-graft bypass surgery, drug-coated balloon technology for lower-extremity arteries (DCB), balloon angioplasty and stent placement for lower-extremity arteriosclerotic occlusion (POBA + BMS), the lower-extremity arterial pedal-arch Loop technique, endovascular debulking of the lower-extremity femoropopliteal arteries (Turbohawk and Spider FX), filter implantation and removal (Cordis, COOk, BD, Aegisy), CDT treatment for venous thrombosis, the TriVex powered removal technique for superficial varicose veins, EVLT surgery of the lower-extremity great saphenous vein, and foam sclerotherapy for varicose veins.
